Who else is going to Liverpool this second half of the season?

I just spent this weekend making plans to travel to Liverpool for almost 2 weeks in May! We got very lucky with tickets to watch the final match against Wolves and we are planning to stick around JUST IN CASE there is a parade for anything at the end of the season. 😂

I used to travel to Liverpool several times a season for games but now I go on average, once per season. There are several ways for international supporters to get tickets. It's never a guarantee and it's difficult but it can be done.

I'm putting together an ebook about traveling to Liverpool and getting match ticket as an international supporter. No, I do not promote buying tickets from tours.

Things to know about Omo Valley, Ethiopia. 👇

🇪🇹 This is a place like no other

The Omo Valley is home to 8 different tribes who have lived there for centuries. Southern Ethiopia is home to some of the world's last unchanged cultural groups. There is nowhere else in the world with such a diverse and unique group of tribes living so close to each other.

This is a remote part of Ethiopia and it's mostly off the grid. The roads are few, very quiet, and there aren't many vehicles.

🇪🇹 How to get there

Fly to Addis Ababa & take an Ethiopian Airlines flight to Arba Minch or Jinka in Southern Ethiopia. I suggest flying into one airport and leaving out of the other to see as much as possible in the region.

🇪🇹 Coordinating a trip

Book with an agency in Ethiopia so that your money is going directly to the country and not a foreign entity. Better yet, book with one in Southern Ethiopia that is well connected to the tribes & focuses on immersive and not explorative experiences.

I booked with Mieraf from @viewethiopiatour because he is from and lives in Southern Ethiopia. He has local guides who speak their own tribal language and belongs to each tribe.

🇪🇹 Where to stay

Mieraf coordinated my accommodation. There are eco lodges in the area but I also camped and stayed with a local family in the Hamer Tribe. They invited me to stay and eat dinner and breakfast with them. It was the highlight of my trip!

Was anyone else inspired to travel somewhere because of Anthony Bourdain?

Even though this market was put on the map for tourists thanks to Bourdain, I actually didn't see any other tourists here!

In fact, Ethiopia is one of the countries where I saw the least amount of tourists (Iraq and Lebanon as well). This is probably in part due to the fact that there has been an off and on conflict in Ethiopia which just broke out again only a few days before my trip. Addis Ababa was safe but due to the conflict, I had to cancel my trip to visit the Northern Part of the country.

Anyway, I love visiting markets in any African country! Every time I wear a Liverpool shirt I have locals talking to me about football and I love it. It's one of the reasons why I wear a Liverpool shirt everywhere. My favorite thing to do while traveling is to meet people and have a better understanding of local culture!

So this trip with my friend wasn't actually planned. I didn't know him until after I arrived in Uganda and hung out with the supporters group in Kampala!

I had an 8 day Safari booked with another tour company but I was delayed one day arriving in Uganda so I missed joining that group tour! I met @ro.k85 when I watched a game with @ug_kop and he told me that he owns a tour company and he could be my guide and take me all over Uganda so that I wouldn't have to miss out on the original tour I had booked!

So we went all over Uganda to Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elisabeth, Bwindi, and more. We found a place to watch the Liverpool game that was on during that week 😂 and it was a great trip with a very fair price.

This is one of the reasons why I'm so inspired to travel and meet Liverpool supporters everywhere. In just about every country I go to I watch a game with the local supporters groups and people often invite me to their homes, offer to take me sightseeing, and sone people have become such close friends that we keep in contact and meet up over and over.

I wish I could be with the supporters group in Uganda today and watch the big game with them. Alas, I'm patiently waiting to bill another trip to Uganda next year. Especially since it's now one of my favorite countries!

P.s. I hate that the name is Queen Elizabeth National Park. Can someone in east Africa tell me when this name will change? 😂🇺🇬

What an incredible city! Have you been to Addis Ababa? Is Ethiopia on your bucket list?

Africa is my favorite continent and I've been dreaming about traveling to Ethiopia! I feel so lucky I was finally here and I have lots of videos to share.

Of course, I wore a Liverpool shirt and met Liverpool supporters all over the city. 😂 In the next video I'll share more about all the friendly locals who stoped me to chat about football.

What is everyone thinking about the game today? Predictions? Where are you watching the game?

I still can't believe we were lucky to be there at Anfield when Liverpool defeated United 7-0! In fact, this was @wanderingredheadcher 's first ever trip to Liverpool so I am sure she still can't believe it either. 😂

I'm not planning to return to Liverpool until the end of the season. I hate being away from my favorite city for so long and I'm patiently waiting for the trip. 😂

ou'll Never Walk Alone in Uganda!

I've been following the @ug_kop group on Instagram for years and I finally had the chance to watch two games with the group! Some of the members of the group took me on tours around Kampala and Lake Victoria. I can't wait to share these videos on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok!

A big thanks to @babiryeedith @ro.k85 @makos_cherry @kobusingyeannet3 @sherrypearl76 @pamicumar and everyone else in the Uganda Kop group for treating me like family during my time in Uganda. We are now friends for life. 🥰

🇺🇬Who else has been to the equator? I've now visited the equator in South America and Africa!

My visit to the equator in Uganda was awesome because this spot marking the equator is literally on the side of the road at the end of my Safari trip. I spent one week in Kampala, Uganda then @ploversafarisuganda took me all across the country to several national parks.

If you go to Uganda for a Safari then it's so easy to visit the equator which is why I'm wearing all green here since this was the end of my safari trip. I love this green Liverpool shirt for my Safari trips. 😆

By the way, Plover Safaris it is owned by a member of @ug_kop and is a die-hard Liverpool supporter which made the trip even more fun. I'm currently editing lots of videos from my trips to Ethiopia and Uganda so more to come!

I've attended a lot of preseason tours and LFC usually flies a few great legends over. This year they did not disappoint with the representation from these former players. The stories they shared were amazing and really the highlight of this preseason tour.

Have I convinced you yet that the Liverpool preseason tours are much more than just friendly games?" Watching the games with thousands of other supporters is fun but the best parts for me are all the events!

We just had the most incredible few days in Philadelphia for the LFC preseason tour! Who else was here in Philadelphia? Who will be in Columbia for the last few days of the tour? We are flying to Columbia today!

I know a lot of people think "it's just a preseason friendly. It doesn't count." Well, there's so much more that goes on during these tours and the friendly games are an added bonus on top of having the chance to meet former players, listening to some of the current players speak on stage, and live performances with Jamie Webster and Marc Kenny.

Exactly one week ago we were here saying good bye

Exactly one week ago we were here saying good bye to Jurgen! 😭

We traveled from Guatemala to Liverpool, sang songs for Klopp for days, sat in the Kop at Anfield, and said our good byes while sitting in the Kop. I never had time to share everything because I was with so many friends and it was crazy. Plus I was so sick these last few days but I'm finally getting caught up on my stories and I'll post a few videos this week!

I feel lucky that I've been able to travel to Liverpool so many times during the Klopp era. In fact, my first ever game at Anfield was only one month after Klopp took over as a manager. Ever since then, I've been back ti Liverpool at least once per season (except 2020) and I've seen 25+ games.

What's crazy is that I have never seen Liverpool lose at Anfield! I've seen Liverpool lose during preseason (those games don't count 😂) and during a cup game at Leicester away but I've never seen a loss at Anfield. How incredible were this years during the Klopp era!

Anyway, I have lots of videos to share these next few weeks including a long form video we will start to edit for YouTube this week!

It was amazing to see so many friends in Liverpool last week from all over the world. Including friends from Guatemala, USA, Canada, India, Morocco, Singapore, and more!

We are already trying to figure out when we can return to Liverpool. Who else will plan a trip to travel to Liverpool next season? U.S. anyone else going to the preseason tour in the USA this summer? 🤩🙌

Only 2 more days and I'll be back in Liverpool! We

Only 2 more days and I'll be back in Liverpool! We are traveling from Guatemala to Liverpool and meeting up with a bunch of friends to attend Klopp's last match ever as manager of Liverpool. 😭

We were lucky to get tickets and NOT through a tout. If you want to learn about how we got tickets then stay tuned because I'll be sharing more about that on here soon!

During the trip we also plan to do a few tours including the Anfield Stadium Tour, a Beatles Tour, and we plan to visit every LFC mural since there are so many new ones!

We also plan to go to the BOSS event with Jamie Webster and the Redmen TV end of season party with Marc Kenny. It's going to be a crazy few days in Liverpool! 😂🙌

Both of us are die-hard Liverpool supporters and this was our dream wedding! We told all our friends to bring their Liverpool scarves to the reception. 😂

Most women dream of a wedding in a romantic setting with lots of beautiful flowers. My dream wedding was to wear a Liverpool scarf over my dress and dance the night away to Liverpool songs. My husband is a die-hard red so it turns out that this was his dream wedding too. 🤪

When you're a Liverpool supporter who gets married

When you're a Liverpool supporter who gets married to your soulmate who is also a Liverpool supporter, most of your friends are Liverpool supporters and @marckennyuk flies over from Liverpool to play at your wedding! 😂🤩🙌🎶

After so many years of traveling the world alone, I still can't believe I met my husband while traveling in Guatemala and he's even more of a die-hard Liverpool supporter than I am. Especially in a country where almost everyone follows Barcelona or Real Madrid. 😏😂

2.5 weeks ago we had our wedding in Antigua, Guatemala which is the city where I met my husband almost 3 years ago.
We were connected through the @olscguatemala group, one of the best supporters group I've come across anywhere in the world and many of the members are our close friends!

It's amazing how Liverpool Football Club brings people together. I've taken a long social media break. Things were very stressful in the last year but I'm back online for good this time. My life has changed and I'm no longer traveling solo and full-time because I have a home base in Guatemala. I truly though I would die alone and never meet someone. So for those of you who have given up on love... don't! If there is hold for me then there's hope for you! 😂🙌❤️
